My name is Cindi Azuogu and I am an intern with the ASUA Women's Resource Center (WRC) at the University of Arizona. As you may know, March is WOMEN'S HERSTORY MONTH! As an intern with the WRC, I am collaborating with campus and community partners to create a UA Lilith Celebration in honor of the same Lilith Fair Festival that celebrates woman in all that she is!
So in that spirit, join us on March 22nd, International Women’s Day, for the U of A Lilith Celebration - a community celebration of strength, pride, and self-expression through female art, music, and spoken word. The UA Lilith Celebration will give women the opportunity to express themselves while raising awareness through entertainment. We hope this event will increase awareness about the lived experience for women, celebrate women and their accomplishments, and most importantly, give women the opportunity to shine and be appreciated.
We are looking for local female artists and musicians to share their musical and artistic talents at the UA LilithCelebration! Please note, ALL art must be handmade and booth hosted by artist. In addition, the WRC would love and appreciate the participation of your cultural organization!. We are seeking collaborators to aid in providing support, tabling for your cause/organization, sponsorship, and artist/musician suggestions for Lilith Celebration.
If you are interested in participating, having a table at the Lilith Celebration – please contact Cindi Azuogu atceazuogu@email.arizona.edu.
Thank you for your time and support, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Jamara Knight's photograph and an entire exhibit
called Watoto Wanapiga Picha hung in the Kachina Lounge from April-December

with children orphaned by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. She received a grant and
collected used cameras to teach the children photography. The exhibit was
a collection of images created by the children and some of Jamara's own images.
She's in first place as of a few minutes ago, but
